WELCOME, to the Community!
From Eagle Mountain Church of Christ!

By way of introduction,

many people are somewhat anxious when they visit a church without knowing something about it. Therefore, we have prepared this introduction to help you understand more about us. . .

Our worship is simple and biblical.

We truly hope that you will appreciate the simplicity of our services. They are designed to draw you closer to God and to provide an atmosphere that will allow you to worship God in reverence according to His will (John 4:24).

Since all we do is governed by the word of God, you will find us observing only those things contained in it. We will do our best to duplicate and pattern everything we do after the early church of the New Testament. Because worship is participation, you are warmly invited to join us in each item of worship.

Singing: To many, our song service is a high point in the assembly. No musical instruments are used. As Christians, we're only commanded to sing and make music in our hearts (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16), and, because of this, we feel it would be an addition to His will if we added instruments. Songs are selected to praise and glorify God and spiritually edify one another. We encourage you to sing along with us.

Teaching: Our teaching is designed to instruct and encourage in the ways of righteousness. You're invited to follow along in a Bible as the lesson is presented. We hope that you will be benefited.

Contribution: A collection is taken only during Sunday assemblies. At this time, each gives of his means as he's been prospered and as he purposes in his heart (1 Cor 16:1-2). This offering is voluntary and only members are expected to participate.

The Lord's Supper: . Repeated every first day of the week (Acts 20:7), this is the highlight of our worship. Communion is observed just as it was on the night of our Lord's betrayal. The men at the table will give thanks for the bread, break a piece from it, eat, and pass it on to another until all the believers have eaten. They will then take the cup and do likewise.

Prayer: The prayers you will hear will thank God for the blessings He pours down upon us and request His continued care over us.

You won't be embarrassed. At the end of each service, an invitation song will be sung. Those wishing to become Christians are invited to come forward and let their desire be known. One who believes in Christ (Heb. 11:6), repents of his sins (Luke 13:3), confesses Christ (Rom. 10:9-10), and is baptized into Christ (Gal. 3:26-27) is added to the church (Acts 2:47). By virtue of obedience, this person is recognized as a member of the Lord's church. However, this action is voluntary on the part of the one desiring to become a Christian. You will never be singled out for public attention or embarrassment.

Now that you have been introduced to our worship and observance, perhaps you would like to know something about the people around you.

We have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible, and no name but Christian. We believe that when we follow the Bible only, we will be Christians only.

You will always be welcome. Every visitor is an honored guest and we hope you will visit us again in the future. A cordial and gracious welcome will always await you.
